The BAMS degree program is a full-time course consisting of pre-clinical, paraclinical, and clinical disciplines running throughout a period of 6 years. In addition to 5 years of course-based learning, one-year internship training in Government Ayurveda Hospitals is needed for registration at Ayurveda Medical Council. Entry qualification to this degree program is a pass in G.C.E A/L Examination in the bioscience stream with the required Z score level as the university grant commission decides each year.
