The aptitude or IQ paper is notorious for its strict time limit. Many candidates know the answers but simply run out of time. Here are five golden rules to follow on exam day:

1. The One-Minute Rule

You generally have around 1 minute per question. If you are staring at a logic puzzle for more than 45 seconds and you don't even have a starting point, skip it immediately. Put a small mark next to the question number and move on. Come back if you have remaining time.

2. Read the Question, Then the Options

Sometimes, looking at the multiple-choice options can trigger the logical path needed to solve the question faster. Process of elimination is your best friend.

3. Memorize Common Numerical Patterns

You should not be calculating squares or cubes during the exam. Memorize squares up to 25 and cubes up to 10. Recognize basic prime number sequences instantly.
